新中国成立60多年来，中国坚持平等相待、互相尊重、注重实效、互利共赢等基本原则，力所能及地向其他发展中国家提供了不附加任何政治条件的援助，开创了具有中国特色的对外援助模式，为受援国人民带来了实实在在的福祉。当地民众最现实、最迫切的问题就是中国援助的方向。中国的援助是真诚的、无私的，赢得了国际社会特别是广大发展中国家人民的高度赞赏。以密联邦为例，中国在麦多莱尼姆的示范农场已经运行了20多年，为千家万户提高了生活和生产水平。椰子是密克的生命之树，我们把种植椰子和防治病虫害的技术培训送到了密克四个州人民的家门口，为他们解决生存问题做出了重要贡献。我们还为密克人民修建了办公楼、桥梁和公路等基础设施。这样的例子还有很多很多。
For more than 60 years since the founding of the People's Republic of China, upholding the principles of equality and mutual respect, actual effectiveness and mutual benefits, China has provided assistance within our capacity to other developing countries with no political conditions attached. We have created a new model of development aid with Chinese features, which brings real benefits to the recipient countries. The actual and urgent needs of local people are the direction of China aid, which is real and selfless and has won the gratitudes of international community, especially from the peoples of developing countries. Take the FSM as an example, the pilot farm in Madolenihmw has operated for over 20 years and has helped hundreds of local households to improve their living and productivity. The coconut trees are the life trees of the FSM. The training classes focusing on coconut planting and insect prevention covered all four states of the FSM and made remarkable contributions to solve the urgent problems of survival of the coconut trees and the people. We have also constructed office buildings, bridges and roads for the FSM people, just to name a few.
明年是中密建交30周年，两国关系发展面临着新的机遇。习近平主席强调，“以心相交者，成其久远”。中国同密克有着相似的历史遭遇，有着深厚的传统友谊，有着追求美好生活的共同理想。作为中国驻密联邦的新任大使，我愿与密方共同努力，认真落实习近平主席和克里斯琴总统的重要共识，进一步加强高层交往，深化各层级交流，扩大各领域合作，推动中密关系不断迈上新台阶，不断造福中密两国人民。
我提议，为中密两国兄弟般的友谊干杯！为在座所有朋友的健康，干杯！谢谢大家！
Next year marks the 30th anniversary of the establishment of our diplomatic relations and we are facing new opportunities. Chinese President Xi Jinping emphasizes: "Those communicating with hearts, their friendships last long."China and the FSM share similar historic experience, share traditional deep friendship and share the common dream for a better future. As the new Chinese Ambassador to the FSM, I will make joint efforts with the FSM side to follow up on the important consensus reached between President Xi Jinping and President Peter Christian, and further strengthen engagements at all levels, and expand cooperations in various fields, so as to bring China-FSM relations to a new high.
Now, please join me in a toast, to our friendship, brotherhood and sisterhood between China and the FSM, to the health and happiness of every friend present tonight. Cheers and Kaseleihlie! Thank you!
