【原文】Retention of title
If the parties have validly agreed on retention of title, the goods shall remain the property of the Seller until the complete payment of the price, or as otherwise agreed.
【译文】所有权保留
如果双方确实同意对所有权保留，则在完成货款支付前该货物的所有权仍归卖方，或另行规定。
【赏析】
1.if引导条件状语从句，until引导时间状语从句。
2.retention of title在译为中f的时候可以将名词转为动词。
3.“the goods shall... ”在译$中文时，将goods和property两个主语和宾语组合成偏正名词短语“货物的所有权”，更符合中文表达的逻辑习惯。
(六）知识产权条款(Intellectual Property)
例6
【原文】
Unless otherwise agreed in schedule 1, X X X owns all intellectual property：
a)In and to all deliverables； or
b)Arising out of the provision of the Services,
and to extent any such intellectual property is owned by Vendor, Vendor assigns all such intellectual property to XXX.
【译文】
除非附件1另有协议，XXX拥有全部的知识产权：
1）所有可交付物附带的；或者
2）因提供该服务所产生的，
以及知识产权属于供应商的，供应商应转让所有该等知识产权给X X X。
【赏析】
1. unless引导条件状语从句，是否定意义，译为“除非……”。
2.a、b两个条款都是修饰“知识产权”。由于该条款行文格式固定，因此翻译时，仍保持原文结构。
