2. 转译为副词
有时动词还可以转译为汉语的副词。
* These new process systems with prereduction, final reduction and melting, CO2 absorption and heat exchangers tend to be too complex and expensive.
这些具有预还原、终还原、熔化、ニ氧化碳吸收和热交換器的新エ艺系統往往太复杂和太昂贵。
* If a metal spoon is put into a hot liquid, the end out of the liquid gets warm.
如果把金属汤匙放入热的液体中，露在液体外的一端会渐渐地热起来。
四、省译
作谓语动词大多数是不可省译的。但为了使译文符合汉语的表达习惯，有时英语中的ー些动词是可以省译的。如：
* Like a good pair of sun glasses, the ozone layer acts like a natural filter, blocking out most of the sun's harmful UV rays.
和优质的太阳镜一祥，臭氧层如同一张天然的过滤膜，屏蔽了太阳发出的有害的紫外 线。（省译了 acts)
* Electrical discharge machining has proved especially valuable in the machining super-touch, electrically conductive materials.
电火花加工法对加工超韧性的导电材料特别有价值。（省译了 has proved )
* A wave model is considered as a good model of the way in which light behaves.
波动模型是说明光的性能的一个很好的模型。（省译了 is considered)
there be句型是英语中ー种特有的句型，有时只是出于结构的要求，并无实质意义，故在翻译英语的there be句型时，经常有省译there be现象，并且汉语句子的词序有很大的变化，经常存在倒译现象。如：
