今年的对话选在墨尔本召开。维多利亚州是澳大利亚人口和经济第二大州，又被誉为“文化之都”、“教育之州”，发展对华合作具有得天独厚的优势。在双方的共同努力下，中国已是维州最大的贸易伙伴、最大的留学生来源地和最大的旅游收入来源国。日前维州政府与中方签署“一带一路”合作谅解备忘录，成为澳首个正式参与“一带一路”合作的州区。阿里巴巴、滴滴出行等创新型中资公司纷纷落户墨尔本。维州有60多家企业已经前往上海参加11月5日开幕的首届中国国际进口博览会。中国与维州建立在相互尊重、相互信任基础上的长期伙伴关系正在不断深化，也得到双方民众越来越广泛的支持。
This year, the Dialogue is held in Melbourne, Victoria. Being Australia's second largest state in both population and economy and the cultural capital and education state, Victoria is in a unique position to develop cooperation with China. Thanks to our joint efforts, China is now Victoria's largest trading partner, largest source of international students and largest source of tourist receipts.
Recently, Victoria and China signed an MOU on "Belt and Road" cooperation, making Victoria the first Australian state to formally participate in the Belt and Road cooperation.
With some big-name innovation-driven Chinese companies like Alibaba and Didi coming to Melbourne to open offices and over 60 Victorian businesses going to Shanghai to attend the first China International Import Expo to be held on 5 November, the long-term partnership between China and Victoria based on mutual respect, mutual trust and mutual benefit is growing from strength to strength and contributing more to our common development and prosperity.
