为了尽量贴近日常语言、贴近读者，这类文章在使用各种专业术语的同时（如例a中的position等），还经常采用生动活泼的俚语（如例b中的dud)、形象比喻（如例c中的party .blew out the candles等）和其他修辞手段。在翻译时，应注意灵活运用本教程介绍的各种方法和技巧，尽可能再现原文的语言风格。
例a A bank's position changed from hour to hour, so that a bank which was a lender in the morning could be a borrower at midday and a lender again before the close of business.
银行的头寸ー小时ー个样：上午还在放债，中午就可能借钱，到收盘前又成了贷款行。
例b Saddam's vaunted "oil weapon” is a dud.
