英语中有三百多个含有拉丁后缀-ary的单词。-ary可兼作名词后缀与形容词后缀。1)作为名词后缀时，它可以加在名词或名词性词根后面表示a place for〜（…的场所），a collection of 〜s (…的群体），或a person or thing connected with (与…有关的人或物）。2)作为形容词后缀时，它加在名词或名词性词根后面，表示of〜（…的）；being〜（是…的）和charactered by ~ (以… 为特点的）。

先介绍几个以-ary为后缀的名词。
