英语的动词和汉语的动词都很丰富，因此在大多情况下，英语的动词都可直接译为相应或相近的汉语动词。但是，英语中某些动词尤其是一些状态动词，所表示的概念很难直接用汉语动词来表达。在这种情况下，可把这类动词转译为汉语的名词，以适应汉语的表达习惯，试看以下各例。
