除了各种句子成分的分隔现象外，我们有时还可碰到其他许多分隔现象。例如：谓语本身的分隔，及物动词与直接宾语的分隔，同位语从句与其所说明的名词的分隔，甚至动词不定式(to+动词原形)和短语介词本身也可被分隔。
举例如下：
1. There is no firm evidence to strongly support this viewpoint.
[译文]没有确凿的证据强有力地支持这一观点。
[说明]动词不定式to support被副词strongly所分隔，不定式只能由一个副词分隔，不能用词组式的状语分隔。
2. One of the most common infectious diseases in young children is measles, to which some complications such as pneumonia are due.
[译文]麻疹是幼儿最常见的传染病之一，它可引起诸如肺炎之类的并发症。
[说明]短语介词due to被定语认句的主语和系词所分隔。
3. It is not easy to accurately define such a complicated condition.
[译文]为这种复杂的情况下确切的定义是不容易的。
[说明]动词不定式to define被副词accurately所分隔。
4. The effectiveness of the antimicrobial treatment is due in part the natural resistance of the host, which accounts for the destruction of a large proportion of the invading bacteria.
[译文] 抗菌疗法的效果部分是由于宿主的抵抗力，大部分入侵的细菌被此抵抗力所消灭。
[说明]短语介词due to被起状语作用的介词短语in part所分隔。
5. The fact is often not appreciated, that in normal pregnancy, there is often a reduction in systolic and diastolic pressures, to around 11.97 and 7.93 kPa respectively.
[译文] 人们往往忽略这一事实，即正常孕妇的收缩压和舒张压常分别下降至11.97与7,98千帕左右.
[说明]that引导的同位语从句说明名词the fact，被主句谓语所分隔。
