在实际翻译中，为了使译文的层次清楚，脉络分明，表达效果好，有时也可以把某些句子（无省略成分，也无多支共干结构）中的一些成分重复译出。这种重译基本上是汉语行文上的需要，涉及范围较广，尤其适用于带有较长后置定语的名词，以及需要拆译的长句中的某些成分，译者可根据具体情况灵活运用。
1. Aspirin seems to slow down the formation of the acids involved in pain and the chemical reactions that cause fever.
阿司匹林似乎能减慢一些酸的形成速度，而这些酸与疼痛和引起发烧的化学反应有关。
2. Both anti-missile systems have been tested against many types of missiles, ranging from sea skimmers to 70-degree divers, with full success.
这两种反导系统已经对多种类型的导弹(从掠海飞行的导弹到以70度俯冲的导弹）进行过试验，试验是完全成功的。
3. Every fuse has a definite current rating；indicating that no more than a specified number of amperes can pass through the fuse.
每一种保险丝都有一定的电流额定值，该额定值限定了保险丝所能通过的最大安培数。
4. There are a number of methods of joining metal articles together , depending on the type of metal and the strength of the joint which is required.
连接金属件的方法很多，选用哪种方法要视金属的种类和所要求的接点强度而定。
5. The elements combine together in a practically unlimited number of ways, determined by their valencies and chemical nature.
无素的化合才式几乎是无限的，而化合方式是由无素的化合价和化学性质决定的。
6. ln a chemical reaction，a new substance is produced with different properties from the original substance.
化学反应会产生新物质，新物质的性质与原物质不同。
