同位语从句常常是对某个名词的内容作进一步的解释、说明，翻译时除采用破折号“——”法、“即……”法外，更好的方法是换位法、加字法、或单译成句。
所谓换位法是指，不按原文顺序译，可把同位语从句提前译。例如：
But am I brave to fare the fact that I won't he perfect?
译成：可是我并不是十全十美的，我有勇气正视这一点吗？
所谓加同法是指，视情况加上动词或其他词。例如：
There are signs that the economy is picking up again.
译成：有迹象表明，经济正在回升。
所谓译成小句，即把同位语从句译成一句。例如：
Despite the fact that comets are probably the most numerous heavenly bodies in the solar system aside from small meteor fragments and the planets, they are largely a mystery.
译成：除了小的流星碎片和小行星之外，尽管彗星可能是太阳系中数量最多的天体，人们对它的了解仍然很少。
例句注释及翻译
1. In its report，the fund said that a more flexible exchange rate "over time would be in the best interest of China", although "there is no clear evidence the Renminbi is substantially undervalued at this juncture."
国际货币基金组织在它的报告中说，“尽管没有明确的证据表明人民币币值在这个关键时刻被严重地低估，但如果长期地执行较灵活的汇率，会对中国最有利。”
Notes:
①同位语从句evidence (that) the Renminbi is substantially undervalued at this juncture 加动词“表明 ”。
2. Hints that China might let its currency rise 5 percent to 10 percent against the dollar in the next few months have stoked hopes in the United States of a smaller trade deficit and some slowing，at least, of the flow of manufacturing jobs to China.
有迹象表明中国可能允许其货币对美元的比价在今后的几个月中升5%至10%，这一迹象增加了美国减少贸易逆差的希望，并 认为流向中国的制造业就业机会的速度至少会放慢。
