从字面上来看，eye candy的意思是“眼睛糖果”。没错，它的确可以指“很养眼的美女”。

不过，它深层次所表达的意思是“比喻某个东西看上去虽然美好，但却一点都不实用”，其实就是我们中文里常说的“华而不实”的意思。我们可以将其翻译为“花瓶”。

英文表达“have eyes bigger than one's stomach 眼睛比胃大”和汉语俗语“眼大肚子小”的含义一样，用来形容“人眼馋，看到什么都想吃下肚，却因为饭量有限，没办法吃完”。
