standee [stand v. 站立;-ee=>“a person who stands 站立者”→]n. a person who has to stand, as in a theatre or on a bus 戏院的站票看客;车船的站立乘客/ The play was a great success, there were always a lot of standees in the 20 days’run. 这出戏大获成功,连演20天,每场总有许多站票观众。
在个别情况下,-ee可以跟动词词根结合。
donee [ don = to donate or give.赠送;~ee→] n. a person to whom sth. has been given as a gift 受赠人/The lawyer refused to reveal who is the donee of the property of the late widow. 律师拒绝透露已故寡妇遗产的受赠人是谁。
nominee [ nomin = to name or nominate 提名;~ee→]n. a person who is nominated for an office 被提名者;被任命者 / Among the eleven nominees, only two are women. 在被提名的 11人中,只有2位女性。
