三、句间有因果关系

相邻的两个英语简单句，如果存在着逻辑上的因果关系，甚至还有表示这种关系的关联词语，则不论是前句为因，后句为果，还是前句为果而后句为因，都可将这两个简单句合译为汉语一个偏正复句，必要时可加适当的关联词。例如：

本手册对初学者较难，因此作者在每页上都附有指导性的注释。

12) Silicon does not occur in the free state in nature. And very few people have seen the pure substance.

自然界没有游离状态的硅，所以很少有人见过纯硅。
