5.连词的使用

[说明]and在此文中表示前后句的目的关系，而不是并列，因此译为“以便”。and作为专利文献中常用的连词，常表示“和，并，而且”等意思，其实它还可译为“但是，因此，以 (便），因为，从而”等。如:

6.句子结构

[说明]上面的错译是由于未能了解原文的句子结构，导致错译。

 

7.并列成分 

[原文]铠装隔爆型开关变压器式软启动装置具有在软启动时综合性能优良、耗能较低、且工作可靠性较高的优点。

[说明]句中如有多个并列成分时，要注意并列成分语法的一致性，不要出现既有名词性短语又有句子。例如： 

[原文]本实用新型公开一种适用于自行车使用的，不仅可以提高存车数量，而且有利于杜绝乱停乱放现象，方便存取的一种自行车车把侧向停放的自行车停车装置。

8.被动语态

[说明]本句原译文并没有错，使用的是主动语态，但是如果使用被动语态，就可以更好地强调并突出产品的功能，因此改译中选择了被动语态。一般中文使用被动语态比较少，所以在翻译中文专利文献时，可以根据句子来选择使用被动语态或主动语态。

 

9.结构调整

[说明]本句原译文并没有错，是按照原文直接进行的翻译，但是比较凌乱，对于英语读者不能直接看明白该承载架结构主要包括“固定座，托座和天线”三部分。改译后的句子作了结构调整，先将主要包括的三部分译出，然后再通过wherein作连词，将该三部分各包含的部件以及连接方式译出，以使译文明确。因此有时译者为了使文字更易读懂，更简明，在译摘要和说明书时，可以选择调整结构（权利要求书应按照原句子结构进行翻译）。
