来自法语或拉丁语的名词后缀-ure可以加在动词或动词词根上。其主要意思为the act or fact of〜ing (…的行为或事实），the condition of being 〜ed (被…的状况），the result of being 〜ed (被…的结果），sth. that〜s or is〜ed (…的事物）等。-ure的异体有-ature，-ture , -iture等。
