今年早些时候，新中关系促进委员会发布的“一带一路”专题报告聚焦贸易便利化、通往南美的中转站、创新和创意产业等四个关键合作领域。新西兰在上述领域均享有比较优势。其中，建设通往南美的中转站，对新西兰持续繁荣尤其重要，它将进一步拉紧新西兰与中国和亚太地区的联系，促进新西兰与南美国家的联通，从而打造一个国际性枢纽。放眼未来，新西兰很有机会成为一个新的全球航运海运网络中心，以前偏居南半球一隅的地理劣势将转变为地理优势。未来五年，预计将有超过7亿人次中国游客前往海外旅游，其中越来越多的人将把新西兰作为前往南美洲、南太平洋和澳大利亚的中转站。这将给新西兰未来经济增长提供巨大动力。

Earlier this year, the NZ-China Council launched a BRI report focusing on future cooperation in four key areas of trade facilitation, gate way to South America, creative sector and innovation, where NZ enjoys comparative advantages. Among them, building the gate way to South America is of special significance to NZ's sustained prosperity, as it will help create an international hub that not only links NZ to China and Asia Pacific countries more closely, but also connects NZ further to South America. Looking into the future, NZ is very likely to become a new aviation center of the global network, transforming its geographical remoteness in the far Southern Hemisphere into geographical advantage. In next five years, more than 700 million Chinese tourists are expected to travel overseas and among them, more will stop over here in NZ and then travel to South America, South Pacific and Australia. This will form a huge driving force for NZ future economic growth.

　　日益便捷的直航极大地促进了中新在金融、创新、创意基础设施和人文交流等领域交流合作。中国工商银行、中国建设银行、中国银行、国家开发银行等中国主要银行在奥克兰设立了分支机构或办事处，支持中新两国之间的贸易、资金和人员流动。中国对新西兰环境治理公司和斐雪派克电器公司的投资并购增加了它们在中国市场的份额，并为新西兰提供数千个就业岗位。两国在电影制作领域合作前景广阔。奥克兰元宵灯节每年吸引数十万游客，已成为南太平洋地区规模最大的中国文化盛会。新西兰第二个中国文化中心即将在奥克兰落地，新西兰成为第一个拥有两个中国文化中心的西方国家。本周的新西兰中文周又创造了历史，越来越多的新西兰人开始学习中文。在基础设施领域，我们同样拥有巨大的合作潜力。

The fast growing non-stop flights have greatly facilitated the connectivity of financing, innovation, creativity, infrastructure and people to people exchanges. China's major banks including ICBC, China Construction Bank, Bank of China, the Development Bank have all set up branches or offices in Auckland, supporting trade, people and capital flows between NZ and China. The purchase of Waste Management and Fisher & Paykel Appliances has further increased their shares in the world's biggest market, providing hundreds of thousands of local jobs for NZ. Co-operations in film production enjoys very good prospect. Auckland's Lantern Festival celebrating Chinese New Year also draws numerous visitors every year, making it the biggest cultural event in the South Pacific region. The second Chinese Cultural Center in NZ will come to Auckland soon, and NZ thus became the only country in the world to have two Chinese cultural centers. The Chinese Language Week of New Zealand made history again this week. In infrastructure, we are also faced with tremendous opportunities of cooperation.
