今天我同加尼总统一起出席中阿建交60周年招待会，深感荣幸。我愿代表中国人民，向阿富汗人民致以诚挚的问候和祝福，向关心和支持中阿友好事业的两国各界人士表示崇高的敬意！

I am deeply honored to join President Ghani at this reception marking the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Afghanistan. I wish to extend, on behalf of the Chinese people, cordial greetings and best wishes to the Afghan people, and pay high tribute to the people from both countries who have taken a keen interest in and supported the friendly relations between our two countries.

日前发生在阿富汗北部地区的强烈地震给阿造成重大人员伤亡和财产损失。习近平主席、李克强总理分别向加尼总统和阿卜杜拉首席执行官致电表示慰问。中国政府已宣布向阿方提供价值1000万元人民币的人道主义救援物资，今天已经运到喀布尔机场。借此机会，我受习近平主席委托，代表中国政府和人民，再向阿政府提供100万美元紧急现汇援助。中国红十字会也已向阿先行提供了10万美元抗震救灾紧急现汇援助。我们愿根据阿方救灾需求，尽最大努力继续提供力所能及的援助。相信在加尼总统和阿卜杜拉首席执行官的领导下，阿富汗人民一定能够克服困难，重建家园。

The recent massive earthquake that hit northern Afghanistan has caused severe loss of life and property. President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Keqiang sent messages of sympathy and condolences to President Ghani and Chief Executive Dr. Abdullah Abdullah. The Chinese government has announced 10 million yuan of humanitarian supplies to Afghanistan, which have already arrivedat the Kabul airport today. I have been entrusted by President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Keqiang to announce on behalf of the Chinese government and people, the provision of another one million US dollars of grants in emergency aid to the Afghan government. And, the Red Cross Society of China has provided in advance 100,000 US dollars of grants in emergency assistance for disaster relief. We are ready to provide further assistance to the best of our ability in line with Afghan needs. We are convinced that under the leadership of President Ashraf Ghani and Chief Executive Dr. Abdullah Abdullah, the Afghan people will prevail over the difficultyand rebuild their home.
