6.台湾、涉藏问题事关中国主权和领土完整，渉及中国核心利益，妥善处理这些问题对确保中美关系健康稳定发展罕关重要。

Properly handling the Taiwan and Tibet questions, which concern China's sovereignty and territorial integrity and 

represent China's core interests, is key to ensuring a sound and stable development of China-US relations.

 

7.保持中美经贸关系健康稳定发展符合双方共同利益。希望双方坚持通过平等协商妥善处理有关经贸问题，维护中美经贸合作大局。

A sound and stable development of China-US economic and trade ties conforms to the common interests of both sides. China hopes that both sides could properly handle relevant trade problems through consultations on an equal footing and safeguard the overall development of China-US economic and trade cooperation.

 

8.中方无意寻求对美贸易顺差，愿釆取进一步措施增加自美进口，促进两国贸易平衡。我们希望美方努力扩大对华出口，尤其希望美方尽快放宽对华高技术产品出口限制。希望双方通过平等协商妥善处理两国经贸摩擦问题，共同维护中美经贸合作大局。

China does not intend to pursue a trade surplus over the United States. China would like to take additional measures to increase imports from the United States. We urge the United States to loosen its export control aver high-tech products so that exports to China could be increased. China hopes that trade frictions between the two countries can be solved through negotiations so that China-US economic and trade cooperation can be maintained. 

 

9.中美战略与经济对话机制为两国增进理解、扩大共识、减少分歧、寻求对共同问题的解决办法提供了独特的平台。双方同意继续利用高层领导人的直接联系渠道就重大敏感问题保持及时沟通并将两国外长年度互访机制化。

The China-US Strategic and Economic Dialogues offer a unique forum to promote understanding, expand common ground, reduce differences and develop solutions to common problems. The two sides agree that they will continue to use the direct communication links among senior leaders to maintain timely communication on major and sensitive issues and institutionalize the annual exchange of visits by the two foreign ministers.

 

10.美国政府日前宣布对中国输美轮胎产品采取特殊保障措施。美方这一做法违反了其在20集团金融峰会上作出的冇关承诺，是对贸易救济措施的滥用，是严重的贸易保护主义行为，将给中美经贸合作造成损害，也不利于推动世界经济早日复苏。中方已就此向美方提出严正交涉，并保留作出迸-步反应的权利。

The US government has lately announced that it will impose spccial protectionist tariffs on tire imports from China. The 

US decision，an abuse of trade remedies and a practice of grave trade protectionism, breached its commitments at the G20 Financial Summit. It will not only hurt bilateral economic cooperation and trade between China and the US, but also affect an early recovery of the world economy. China has made solemn representations to the US and reserves all rights to take further responsive actions.
