2. 动词转译为副词
当英语句子中的谓语动词后面的不定式短语或分词转译为汉语句子中的谓语动词时，原来的谓语动词就相应地转译为汉语的副词。如：
i. Rapid evaporation tends to make the steam wet.
快速蒸发往往使蒸汽的湿度加大。（动词tends转译为副词）
j. The molecules continue to stay close together, but do not continue to retain a regular fixed arrangement.
分子仍然紧密地聚集在一起，但不再继续保持有规则的固定排列形式。（动词continue转译为副词）
3. 名词转译为副词
英语中ー些具有副词含义的名词有时也可转译为副词，如：
k. Quasi-stars were discovered in 1963 as a result of an effort to overcome the shortcomings of radio telescopes.
类星体是1963年发现的，是人们努力克服射电望远镜的缺点所取得的一项成果。（名词effort转译为副词）
l. Each sample must be submitted with full particulars of its source.
每个样品均应详细标明其来源。（名词particular转译为副词）
从以上的例句中可以看出，不同词类之间的相互转译现象还是很普遍的，并且是多种多样的，绝不仅仅局限于以上介绍的几种。词类能否转译或转译为何种词类，由于处理方法不同，也可能有不同的转译方法，译者可以根据对专业技术的理解，以及汉语语言的表达习惯灵活使用。
