英语中能转译成汉语副词的是形容词，动词及名词，但主要把握好形容词转译成副词。
1.形容词转译为副词
英语中能转译成汉语副词的主要是形容词。形容词转译为副词有以下三种情況。
(1)当英语的名词转译成汉语的动词时，原来修饰名词的英语形容词就相应的转译为汉语的副词。如：
a. In case of use without conditioning the electrode, frequent calibrations are required.
如果在使用前没有调节电扱，则需要经常校定。（名词calibrations转译为动词"校定"，形容词frequent则转译为副词“经常”)
b. The language allows a concise expression of arithmetic and logic processes.
这种语言能简要地表达算术和逻辑过程。（名词expression转译为动词"表达"，形容词concise则转译为副词"简要地")
c. A further word of caution regarding the selection of standard sizes of materials is necessary.
必须进一步提醒关于选择材料的标准规格之事宜。（名词词组word of caution转译为动词"提醒"，形容词further则转译为副词 ''进一歩'')
(2) 在系动词+表语的句型结构中，作表语的名词转译为汉语的形容词时，原来修饰名词的英语形容词就相应地转译为汉语的副词。如：
d. This experiment is an absolute necessity in determining the solubility.
对确定溶解度来说，这次试验是绝对必要的。（名词necessity转译为形容词“必要的”，形容词absolute转译为副词"绝对"）
e. These characteristics of nonmetal are of great importance.
非金属的这些特性是非常重要的。（名词importance转译为形容词"重要的"，形容词great转译为副词"非常"）
(3) 除了以上两种形式外，其他形式的形容词也可转译为副词。
