层次过多，或过于曲折冗长，给人以拖沓感。如句子过长，则应切成分句。
四、译成外位语句。如句子太长或成份或层次较多，可将句子切分，用一个代指成份（一般为代词“这”、“这样”、“那”、“它”等 等)以代替先行部分。这时，代指词前的先行部分就称为外位语，代指词是本位语。本位语承接外位语，形成明晰的层次，符合汉语习惯。如：
