philology [philo- = loving 爱好；-logy =>“ the loving for speech 对语言的爱好”→]n. the study of language； the study of literature and other records 语言学；语文文献学，语文学/ Philology is an older name for linguistics, now it refers to the study of literature and other records. Philology 原指语言学，现在指对语 文文献的研究。

tautology [ tauto = the same 同样；-logy→“the same speech about one thing对一件事说同样的几句话”→] n. unnecessary saying of the same thing in different ways; useless repetition同义反复的语病；赞述 /“The modern college students of today”is an example of tautology. “今日的现代大学生”是一个有同义反复语病的例子。
