对照以下原文保税区的减免税货物、保税货物的监管手续费，应当按照《中华人民共和国海关对进口减税、免税和保税货物 征收海关监管手续费的办法》办理。”我们不难发现其中的goods in bond和Bonded Goods都是指“保税货物”。很显然，这种错误并非由于草率，而是译者为追求译名多样化而“努力”的结果。至于 “保税区”一词在该同一法规汇编中也有两种不同的译法：free trade zone和bonded area。在英文中这两者其实根本不是同一概
念。前者为“自由贸易区”，作用和可经营业务的范围与后者大不相同。
很显然，法律文章翻译中缺乏一致性和同一性无疑会使法律概念混淆，使读者不必要地去揣测不同词语的差别，从而影响法律的精度。在这方面，香港政府律政署翻译香港法律的工作人员倒作了一番出色的尝试。以下法律条例选自由这些专家翻译的《刑事罪行条例》第69条(真确本）：
For the purpose of this Part—
