从下面几个译例来看，叙述角度的转变似乎无规律可循。但是，只要在不改变原文含义的前提下，根据汉语表达习惯，灵活地采用包括反译法在内的各种技巧，如分译、增词引申、词类与句式转换等，这类翻译难点大都不难解决。
例a. Since economic reform began in 1978, an average growth rate or almost 10% a
year has seen China's GNP nearly quadruple.
自1978年开始经济改革以来，中国（经济）以每年将近10%的速度增长，国民生产总值几乎翻了两番。
例b. When he was in Congress, sundown would not find us in Washington the day
Congress adjourned.
他在国会开会时，每逢休会的日子，我们就离开华盛顿出去游玩，一直到太阳落山后才回来。
例c. The still cool tone was warning enough.
这种生硬冰冷的语气，让人ー听就明白了。
例d. It was partly as a result of those economies that many of our most imoortant new projects in other fields become possible.
我们在其他方面的许多最为重要的新工程得以实施，其部分原因就是采取了这些节约措施。
例e. By the third criterion, the great literatures of the Orient spring to mind, not to
mention the languages of Tolstoy，Goethe, Cervantes and Racine.
按照第三条标准来衡量，人们马上会想到东方各国的伟大文学，且不提托尔斯泰、歌德、塞万提斯和拉辛使用的语言了。
