糖氨聚糖(glycosaminoglycans, GAG)
糖氨聚糖主要包括：透明质酸(hyaluronic acid )、4-硫酸软骨素(4-chondroitin sulfate)、6-硫酸软骨素(6-chondroitin sulfate)、硫酸皮肤素(dermatan sulfate)、硫酸角质素(keratan sulfate)、硫酸类肝素(heparitin sulfate)等。
讲解
* glucose n. (葡萄糖)，glyco-(葡萄糖)+amino-(氨、氨基)+glycan(葡聚糖)→glycosaminoglycans(糖氨聚糖)。
* sulfur(硫)，sulf(o)-(硫)+-ate(盐)→sulfate(硫酸盐)。
* cartilage软骨,chondr(o)-为表示软骨的前缀，chondro-+cyte(表示细胞的后缀)→chondrocyte(软骨细胞)，chondro-+sarcoma(肉瘤)→chondrosarcoma(软骨肉瘤)。chondro-+-i-+tin(素)→chondroitin(软骨素)。
* derma-或dermat(o)-为表示皮肤的前缀，dermato n. (皮肤) dermal为其形容词形式，dermatan sulfate硫酸皮肤素。
* hepat(o)-为表示肝的前缀，hepatic adj. (肝的)，如hepatoalbumin(肝白蛋白)heparin(肝素)。hyal(o)-为表示玻璃样的拉丁文前缀，相关词：hyaluronan(透明质酸)，hyaluronic(透明质酸的)，hyaline(透明的、玻璃样的)。
