汉语中重复使用的词语或结构，英译时只重复使用其部分词语或结构。这样既可保证译文达意，又不至于显得过分累赘。例如：
(1）我们的政策，不光要使领导者知道，干部知道，还要使广大群众知道。
Our policy must be made known not only to the leaders and to the cadres but also to the broad masses.
(2）……决定什么东西是应当称赞或歌须的，什么东西是不应当称赞或歌颂的，什么东西是应当反对的。
… decide what to commend and praise, what not to, and what to oppose.
(3）这种新民主主义的文化是科学的。它是反对一切封建思想和迷信思想，主张实事求是，主张客观真理，主张理论和实践一致的。（《毛泽东选集》二卷，667页）
New democratic cullure is scientific. Opposed as it is to all feudaI and superstitious ideas, it stands for seeking truth from facts, for objective truth and for the unity of theory and practice.
(4）新的政治力量，新的经济力量，新的文化力量，都是中国的革命力量，它们是反对旧政治旧经济旧文化的。（《毛泽东选集》二卷，656页）
These new political, economic aud cultural forces are all revolutionary forces which are opposed to the old politics, the old economy and the old culture.
