规章制度的翻译要简洁明了

规章制度在句子结构上简洁明了，语气上坚决肯定，用词上严谨正式。本篇原译在这些方面有不少问题。例如：
原文：
建立印章管理制度，确保XXX有限公司能有效管理公司的各类印章。
原译：
The establishment of chop management rules is to ensure that XYZ can manage various types of chops effectively.
改译：
These rules are to ensure that seals of XYZ Co. Ltd. are properly managed.
or：
These rules are to ensure proper management of the seals of XYZ Co. Ltd.
说明：
原译不够简洁。
原文：
公章、合同章、法人私章、财务章均由财务总监保管。
原译：
The chops should be kept by the department manager.
改译：
The corporate seal, contract seal, legal representative's seal and finance seal shall be kept in the custody of the Controller.
说明：
should表达较弱的义务，shall和must表达绝对的义务。表示“可以”， 用may，不用can。
