(五）不定式短语的拆译
不定式短语作句子的状语时，如果其结构较长或者无法译成汉语的对应状语，那么即使它与句子的其它成分之间无逗号隔开，也可以单独拆译出来。例如：

这道方程相当简单，五分钟内即可解出。
18. The distance from the earth to the sun is too great to imagine.
地球到太阳的距离极远，令人无法想象。
19. For a body to float in a fluid its density must be less than that of the fluid.
一个物体要在液体中浮起来，其密度必须小于液体的密度。
20. A resistor is placed in parallel with another only to make the current become great.
一只电阻与另一只电阻并联起来，电流反而变大了。
21. Atoms are too small to be seen even with a powerful microscope.
原子太小了，即便用高倍显微镜也看不见。
