这种反译的特点是，把原文句中用作状语的介词短语中的介词减去不译，把介词的宾语译为主语，同时把原主语译为宾语。还要指出的一点是，在采用此法反译被动句时，有时也可将原句中的谓语译作汉语中的主语，而将原主语译作定语或其它成分，以下的译例就是这样。
(11) Blood circulation may be defined as the circular movement of blood around the body.
血液循环的定义是血液环绕全身的环形运动。
(12) The equipment room will be suitably illuminated and ventilated.
设备间的照明和通风要适度。
(三) 加译一个主语
英语中有些被动句，尤其是带有主语补足语的被动句，要反译成汉语主动句，很难保留原句的主语，句中的其它成份也很难改译为主语，此时，常可通过加译“人们；我们；有人；大家”等这样一类泛指性的词怍主语，而把原主语和主语补足语译成宾语和宾语补足语（汉语的主谓词组或兼语词组）。这样的反译处理可使译文的表达清楚明了。

近年来，有人在实验室里教黑猩猩用手势语与人交谈。
(14) Steel and its alloys will still be taken as the leading material in industry for a long time to come.
