(2) 不定式作结果状语的译法
不定式作结果状语通常位于句尾，一般可以按顺译法进行汉译，可增译表示结果的词语“从而”、“使得”、“以”等，也可视情况灵活处理。如：
* Tightening the screw brings the sheets of foil closer to each other to increase the capacitance.
拧紧螺旋就使金属箔相互靠拢，从而增大电容。
* The immunity system of a human body is beautifully designed to meet most of its problems.
人体的免疫系统十分精妙，足以应付大部分疾病。
(3) 不定式在系表结构中作状语的译法
不定式可放在作表语的形容词之后作状语，汉译时可采用顺译法或根据上下文灵活翻译。如：
* The speed of the fission is difficult to control.
裂变的速度难以控制。
* Loss of control is most likely to occur on inductive loads.
这种失控现象在电感负载时最可能发生。
