科技英语中主语从句的译法

(1) 顺译法
所谓顺译法，就是按照原文中句子的词序翻译，即先译主句（通常译成无人称句，it不需要译出来，或增译“人们”，“我们”，“有人”等词语），然后再译主语从句。如：
* It is worth noting that Ohm's law correctly describes the relation between terminals c and d.
值得注意的是欧姆定律正确地表达了 c和d两端之间的关系。
* It is obvious that these techniques will be of greater value in cryogenic switching circuits.
很显然，这种工艺对低温开关电路有较大的价值。
(2) 倒译法
所谓的倒译法就是把真正的主语从句先译出，为了强调，it可以译出来，如果不需要强调，it也可以不译出来。
* It is also important that coolant be equally distributed on both sides of the wheel.
让冷却液均匀地分布在砂轮两侧，这一点也很重要。
* It does not matter whether we use ball bearings or plain bearing.
是采用滚珠轴承还是普通轴承，这都无关紧要。
* It matters much to efficiency where the machine is set up.
机器到底安装在什么地方与效率关系极大。
