b) 现在分词短语作后置定语的译法
现在分词短语作定语时，放在它所修饰的名词的后面，其功用相当于定语从句。它通常包括后置的现在分词+宾语，因此，汉译时常常被译为动宾关系的“的”字结构的定语，并放在所修饰的名词前。如：
* This kind of pump is suitable for handling solutions containing certain corrosive gases.
这种泵适合于处理含有某些腐蚀性气体的溶液。
* The crystal oscillator using a new frequency temperature compensation method is shown in Fig. 8.
