Remarks by Ambassador Wang Xuefeng at the Signing Ceremony of The Agreement in Relation to the Chinese Medical Team to Work in Samoa
尊敬的萨卫生部图伊塔马部长，
各位嘉宾，
各位媒体朋友，
女士们、先生们，
今天，我非常高兴出席中国与萨摩亚《关于派遣中国医疗队赴萨摩亚工作的议定书》签署仪式。首先，我谨代表中国驻萨摩亚大使馆向萨摩亚外交贸易部、卫生部以及所有为本议定书的签署做出不懈努力的中萨各界人士表示诚挚的谢意！
本议定书签署后，中国将很快向萨摩亚派遣第15期医疗队。本期医疗队为期两年，共分四批轮换来萨，每批6名医生，他们全部来自中国吉林省，有着良好的诊疗技术和丰富的工作经验，将在萨国家医院的神经外科、泌尿外科、创伤骨科、心内科、眼科、内分泌科、皮肤科、耳鼻喉科、病理学、心脏科、肾科、内科和急性护理等萨医院急需的科室为当地民众提供服务。

Good morning!
It is with great pleasure that I come to attend the Signing Ceremony of the Agreement in Relation to the Chinese Medical Team to Work in Samoa. First of all, on behalf of the Chinese Embassy, I would like to express my sincere thanks to the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade as well as all those, both from China and Samoa, who have made consistent efforts which has made the signing of this agreement a reality.
After the signing of this agreement, the 15th Chinese medical team will soon be dispatched to Samoa by the Chines Government to work at the Tupua Tamasese Meaole Hospital. This medical team from Jilin Province of north China will be sent in four batches in the course of two years, with each batch comprising of 6 medical professionals. The Chinese medical team will provide professional medical services in the Department of Neurosurgery, Urology, Traumatic Orthopedics, Cardiology, Ophthalmology, Endocrinology Dermatology, Otolaryngology, Pathology, Nephrology, Internal Medicine and Acute Care and other departments respectively.
