学生译文中的定冠词使用不妥当，因为这样以来，好像生物工程是惟一的和传统工程不同的工程。显然，这种理解有些太绝对，也太冒险。换成不定冠词后，原文中的"—种”才算译了出来。此外,汉语中的相当于单位的“毎”，翻译成英语一般用 a(n)，而不是one。例如，“每天一只苹果”要翻译成an apple a day，面不是one apple one day;“每小时挣20元钱”要翻译成20 yuan RMB an hour,而不是20 yuan RMB one hour。
