帝日:六府之咳奈何?安所受病?岐伯日:五藏之久咳，乃移于六府。脾咳不已，则胃受之，胃咳之状，咳而呕，呕甚则长虫出。肝咳不已，则胆受之，胆咳之状，咳呕胆汁。肺咳不已，则大肠受之，大肠咳状，咳而遗矢。心咳不已，则小肠受之，小肠咳状，咳而失气，气与咳俱失[《太素》“气”下有“者”字“失”作“出”]。肾咳不已，则膀胱受之，膀胱咳状，咳而遗溺。久咳不已，则三焦受之，三焦咳状，咳而腹[《医心方》“腹”作“肠”]满，不欲食饮[“饮”字衔]，此皆[《太平圣惠方》“此皆”下有“寒气”二字]聚于胃关于肺，使人多涕唾，而面浮[《圣济总录》引“面”下有“目”字]肿气逆也。
Yellow Emperor asked: "What about the symptoms of cough in the six hollow organs, and how are the diseases affected?" Qibo said:"When the cough of the five solid organs is protracted, it will be transmitted into the six hollow organs.
"For instance, when the spleen cough is protracted, the stomach will be affected; the symptom of the stomach cough is cough with vomitting, and roundworms can be vomitted out when the case is severe.
"When the liver cough is protracted, the gallbladder will be affected; the symptom of the gallbladder cough is: the bitter liquid can be vomitted out when coughing.
"When the lung cough is protracted, the large intestine will be affected:the symptom of the large intestine cough is: the fecal incontinence occurs when one coughs.
"When the heart cough is protracted, the small intestine will be affected; the symptom of the small intestine cough is: breaking wind as soon as coughing, and usually, breaking wind and cough occur at the same time.
"When the kidney cough is protracted, the bladder will be affected; the symptom of the bladder cough is: the incontinence of urine when coughing.
"The various kinds of cough stated above, if being protracted, the triple warmer will be affected; the symptoms of the triple warmer cough are:the distention of the intestine, and the patient reluctants to eat.
"No matter from which viscus the affection stems from, it is due to the accumulation of cold-evil in the stomach, and the cold-evil is connecting the lung. It will cause one to have plenty of thick sputum, edema of the face and eyes, and the adverseness of the vital energy."
帝日:治之奈何!岐伯日:治藏者治其俞，治府者治其合，浮肿者治其经。帝曰:善。
Yellow Emperor asked: "How to treat it?" Qibo said: "When treating the cough of the five solid organs, prick the Shu points; when treating the cough of the hollow organs, prick the He-points; to the patient of edema caused by cough, dredge the channel by pricking the points of the related channel." Yellow Emperor said: "Good."
