帝日:人之肉苛者，虽近衣絮、犹尚苛也，是谓何疾?岐伯日:荣气虚卫气实也[《素问识》云“此七字不相冒，恐是衍文]，荣气虚则不仁，卫气虚则不用，荣卫俱虚，则不仁且不用，肉如故也，人身与志不相有，日死。

帝日:人有逆气不得卧而息有音者;有不得卧而息无音者;有起居如故而息有音者;有得卧，行而喘者;有不得卧，不能行[滑寿说:“能行”上衍“不”字]而喘者;有不得卧，卧而嘴者;皆何藏使然?愿闻其故。岐伯曰:不得卧而息有音者，是阳明之逆也，足三阳者下行，今逆而上行，故息有音也。阳明者，胃脉也，胃者，六腑之海，其气亦下行，阳明逆不得从其道，故不得卧也。《下经》日:胃不和则卧不安。此之谓也。夫起居如故而息有音者，此肺[《太素》卷三十《卧息喘逆》“肺”作“脾”]之络脉逆也;络脉不得随经上下，故留经而不行，络脉之病人也微，故起居如故而息有音也。夫不得卧，卧则喘者，是水气之客也; 夫水者，循津液而流也，肾者，水脏，主津液，主卧与喘也。帝日:善。

Among all the cases, which one is due to the visceral disease? I hope to know the reason about them."
Qibo said: "In the case of unable to lie down and has sound of respiration, it is due to the reversing up of the energy of the Yangming Channel. As the energy of the Foot Yang-ming Channel should run downwards, its reversing up now makes the respiration not going on very smoothly and causes sound. The Yangming is a stomach channel, and the stomach is the sea of the six bowels, the stomach energy should run downwards also; so, if the Yang-ming energy is reversing, the stomach energy stomach energy will be unable to follow its tract to run down-wards, and the patient can not lie on his back. That is why it is stated in 《Xia Jing》 (Lower Classies): When the stomach is in disharmony, one can hardly lie still".
"When one can lead a normal daily life with the sound of respiration, it is due to the impediment of the lung colatterals, and the collateral energy can not move up and down along with the channel energy, and the energy will be retained in the channel instead of running in the collatteral; as the disease of the collaterals is comparatively slighter, the patient can lead a normal daily life, however, there is sound in respiration.
"If the patient finds difficulty in lying down and has rapid respiration as soon as lying down, it is due to the invasion of the water energy to the lung: the water energy is running along with the track of the body fluid, and kidney is a viscus of water and takes charge of the body fluid, when one has rapid respiration when lying down, it is due to the affection of the kidney." Yellow said: "Good."
