译一：凭着决心，凭着运气，也凭着许多好心人相助，我才得以从一败涂地中东山再起。（不易位）

译ニ：……也凭着许多人好心相助……。（易位）

但是，下面两个英语句子中的定语若是不易位,就会影响原义的再现或汉语的表达： 

例5 Provided the deal is not unfair to one of the parties，all each has done is to reduce its demand for foreign exchange — but also its supply. The temporary problem of arranging trade finance is avoided, but that is all.

即使买卖对任何交易方都不无公平之处，各方能做到的无非就是减少了外汇需求---但同时也戒少了外汇供应。筹措贸易资金的问题得以暂过避免，仅此而已。

例6 In addition, trade barriers encourage domestic production in areas which are economically inefficient.

此外，贸易壁垒还促使国内一些经济效益不高的部门继续生产。

特殊的搭配或修饰关系往往会产生某种修辞效果，其中，定语的移就（transferred epithet)就是ー种在英汉两种语言中都能见到的修辞手段，其中有不少可以直译过来。如：

例7 After a happy day，she had a sleepless night.

度过欢乐的一天之后，她又熬过了ー个不眠之夜。

但是，由于表达习惯不同，英语中有些移就现象无法直接翻译过来，而是要根据汉语语言逻辑和表达习惯，将移就现象还原，即把该定语易位并且转换成其他词类之后，再同相应的词语组成新的搭配或修饰关系，或者分译成独立的词组。如：

例8 They say that if I had stayed at Ford, I would have been in a comfortable ivory tower.

他们说，我假如留在福特公司，就能舒舒服服地高居象牙塔之中。

例9 The sailors swarmed into a laughing and cheering ring around the two men.

水手们拥上前来，围着那两个人又笑又闹。
