简单谓语指的是由单个动词、助动词加原形动词构成的谓语，或者由短语动词表示的谓语。这种谓语往往可以译成谓语，而且一般可以按原句中谓语动词所表示的时态和语态译出。一般说来，句中动词的时态和语态要根据整个句子的含义来决定，其译法也须如此。
