霍译：

杨译：

霍译：

And as if Nature herself were affected by the grief of so beautiful a creature，the crows who had been roosting in the trees round about flew up with a great commotion and removed themselves to another part of the Garden，unable to endure the sorrow of her weeping.

例2的“唼喋”是游鱼浮上水面吃东西的声音，活现了鱼的神态和 声音效果;例3“忒愣愣”将拟声与叠音交错使用，增强了作品的音感， 将宿鸟栖鸦突然猛地飞走的声音描写得犹如近在耳畔。用回译法检 验例2的杨译，就是“引的游鱼浮上来吃”，显然不如原文具体形象。 霍译在表示鱼儿细咬的动词nibble之后用状语结构with plopping noises补充了拟声的意义和效果；而例3的霍译虽然比杨译也多了一 个状语结构with a great commotion，但因没有起到摹声的作用，而 与原作体现出了表达效果的差异。

尽管两个译本在对摹声辞格的语言转化中，出现了上述不尽如人意的情况，不过，总的来讲，译者对原作的理解和表达还是相当到位的。摹声格是吸收了声音的要素在语辞中的一种辞格。它不是纯客观的，而是主客观相结合的，融人了作者的主观意识和感情色彩，因此，翻译时应首先由表及里认真分析其表达意图和修辞效果，只有这样，译文才能更接近原文，真正起到传情达意、提高话语感染力的语言效果。
