(二）分译法

先分析一下句子的结构，接着译出主句，再译从属句或分词短语。在英文长句中，主句只有ー个，但从属句或修饰短语可能有多个，先弄清楚它们之间的修饰关系，先译主句，然后再译从句或短语。 这样不易出错。如：

例 3 A spirited discussion springs up between a young girl who insists that women have outgrown the jumping-on-the chair-at-the- sight-of-a-mouse era and a colonel who says that they haven't.
